Washington/New Delhi/Montreal: US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Boeing have privately released information that fuel switch locks on Boeing aircraft are safe, a document and four sources seen by Reuters have been reported.On July 11, FAA’s continuous airworthiness notification came in the previous month’s Boeing 787-8 accident after an initial report on Friday, killing 260 people, questioning the engine fuel cutoff switch. Notification by civil aviation officers said: “Although fuel control switch design, including locking feature, is the same on various Boeing airplanes models, FAA does not consider the issue an unsafe position that will warrant an airwellness direction on any Boeing airplane model.,When contacted, the US FAA had nothing to connect beyond the notification.
