Jockey Ron Turkote, who rode the Secretariat in Triple Crown in 1973, died on 22 August, 2025 at the age of 84. In a report of “Sunday Morning” of June 24, 1979, Turkote talked about life after a terrible accident at Belmont Park when he fell from a horse and faced injuries, which made him a paraplegic.
