A police officer was punched on his face and four people were arrested at Canary Ghat in East London, using asylum seekers for hotels.
The Metropolitan police said the arrest during the protest on Sunday was for common attacks, possession of drugs and attacks on crimes.
The force stated that they were “a peaceful anti-eastlam protest” on the Isle of Dogs, but said that some masked protesters went to the Canary Ghat shopping center at around 16:30 BST and “became aggressive to the police”.
The officer who was punched, did not get a “significant injury”, Met said.
A force spokesperson said that 50 to 100 people were involved in the protest march from Manchester Road along with WestFerry Road E14.
He said: “We have a section 60AA for the Isle of Dogs south of the A1261, which may arrest people from hiding their identity with masks – failure to comply.
“A section 35 dispersion order is also directed to release protesters in the same area.”
Later this week, London in -charge of policing CDR Adam Slonki said: “We had a lot of officers on the ground to go fast to deal with the criminality inside and outside the shopping center. We would not tolerate such behavior.
“Those who reach the protests will continue to deal with masked and future protests with the intention of creating trouble.”
The unrest occurred as several anti-e-assembled protests and counters in England on Sunday, which included episted and Norwich.
