Law enforcement officials said one person died, and three others were injured when two aircraft collided with the midar near Fort Morgan Municipal Airport in Colorado on Sunday, said law enforcement officials.
The office of the Morgan County Sheriff said that when they arrived at around 10:45 am, deputies and emergency personnel reached the spot after receiving the report of the plane crash, finding out that two aircraft had gone down to the fields outside the airport.

Each aircraft took two people. The people of Sesna suffered minor injuries and were released at the scene, Sheriff’s office said.
One of the people aboard the second aircraft – an additional flugzeugbau ea300 – was taken to a local hospital. The second was declared dead on the spot by the office of Morgan County Coroner.

In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that both aircraft collided as they tried to land.
The FAA said that both agencies will investigate, take lead with National Transport Safety Board (NTSB) and provide updates.

“We express our deep condolences to the victim’s family and friends in this sad incident,” Sheriff Office said in a Facebook post. “This is an active investigation and the names of the parties involved are not being released at the moment.”

Sheriff’s office also thanked the citizens who tried to exclude flames before the firefighters and other respondents arrived.
