A former Mossad official has told the BBC how technology and innovation played an important role for Israel in their 12-day war with Iran.
In an interview with Kasara Nazi, former Deputy Chief of the Israeli intelligence agency, Kasara Nazi, BBC Persian, Rami Igra said that innovation, technology, and “very sophisticated guiding systems” played an important role in the killings of top commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
In Its initial attack on 13 JuneIsrael killed the top Iranian military figures, including Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, IRGC Chief of Staff and heads of IRGC missiles and aerospace divisions, as well as several nuclear scientists.
Iran is credited for Mossad operators working inside the country.
Igra said he was not influenced by the murders: “This does not change the fact that behind that top brass, there is an entire army and people are spent at the end of the day”.
