Former Georgia Lieutenant village. Jyof Dankan announced that he was leaving the GOP and joining the Democratic Party, one step he says that he is coming a long time because he shared his head with the Republican party.
Duncan, who worked as a Lieutenant Governor as Republican from 2019 to 2023, wrote in an op-ed in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday that President Donald Trump started his path to become a democrats before ending his loss to former President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
Duncan wrote in the newspaper, “My journey started well to become a Democrat, before Donald Trump tried to steal the 2020 election in Georgia.”
“The sand has no date on a calendar or line that indicates the exact moment of time, which has turned into my political heart, but it is,” they continued. “My decision was centered around my daily struggle to love my neighbor, as a Republican.”

Duncan pointed to several policy issues that played a role in their decision to change the parties, criticizing Republican, to handle issues to help health care, medicade, gun safety, immigration and poor people.
He said that his time in the office has taught him the best way to “love my neighbor”. Prior to his time as a lieutenant governor, he served at Georgia House from 2013 to 2017. He opted not to re -election as a lieutenant governor in 2022.
Former Republican said that GOP MPs have for decades argued that there is a solution for not having health insurance, but said that most unaffected people in Peach State live in working homes, yet they are not insured due to strength or eligibility.
“So, the reality is that they have a job, just wrongdoing,” Duncan wrote. “A one who does not offer health insurance or generate enough extra money to bear his own health insurance scheme every month.”

Duncan also stated that the Trump-supported expenditure bill that was signed in the law last month would leave the Medicid funding “in Shambal”, as it cuts hundreds of billions of dollars from the government program. He also criticized measures for his deduction for supplementary nutrition aid program, which is usually known as food tickets, and its effect on ensuring that children are not hungry in school.
Duncan pointed to elections showing support for gun control measures such as universal background investigations and red-flag laws.
He also criticized the collective exile immigration policies of the Trump administration, which he said that “how not to love his neighbor, has turned into a lesson on how not to love his neighbor.” He said that the immigration policy should focus on gaining limits, illegally deporting people in the country who have committed hooliganism, but that the path of citizenship should be made for other migrants in America
Duncan’s party switch comes after the Georgia Republican Party allegedly expelled him from the party during the alleged dissolution of this year. The party’s proposal cited his support of Biden in the 2024 presidential election and once he was out, former vice -president Kamla Harris with his support and alleged effort to reduce something with his support Republican candidateCurrent Lieutenant Gove Burt, including Jones and 2022 Senate candidates failed in Herschel Walker.
The former Republican also spoke to the Democratic National Convention in August in support of Harris.

Duncan has been a terrible critic of Trump and the Republican party in recent years, especially since the President’s 2020 election loss and efforts to overturn the capital riot.
Duncan wrote, “The list of why I am growing a democrats is increasing.” “Most importantly, my decision puts me in the best possible position every day to love my neighbor.”
