New Delhi: It was probably the smallest cargo that may be a special aircraft, required in a short notice, but who would solve one of the most important terrorist investigations of the time.After the death of three terrorists in a ‘Operation Mahadev’ in the Dachigam area on Monday by the Army, CRPF and J&K police, the security establishment did not stop when he was recognized by family members of two local people who provided food and shelter in their seasonal dhok (HUT) a day before the attack. Home Minister Amit Shah directed to adopt a more scientific route – a ballistic test in Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Chandigarh, to match arms recovered from terrorists killed with cartridges in place of Pahgam attack. The latter was already tested in the same laboratory.Weapons, one M -4 carbine and two AK -47, a special aircraft were blown from Srinagar to Chandigarh on Monday -midnight. Forensic/ballistic experts in CFSL burnt midnight oil, conducted test firing and produced empty shells for comparison. Shah shared in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, “The grooves and scars with barrels and shells match it completely … six forensic experts confirmed me on a video call at 4.46 pm on Tuesday that these were the same rifles that were used to kill our innocent civilians (in Pahalgam).”
