A fluorida surfer is vow to return to the waves after cutting by a shark in a county, which is considered the “shark byte capital of the world”.
Volusia County Beach Safety confirmed Fox News Digital that Matthew Bender, 40, Winter Park, 40-year-old of Florida, on Sunday, July 6, was surfing in the popular but notorious shark-prone water in New Smirna Beach, when a shark put his hand on his arm.
“I felt that it climbs down like a bear mesh from anywhere,” the bender told Fox News affiliation, Wofl-TVFrom the bed of your hospital. “By the time I looked down, it had already gone. I never saw the shark, but it really forcefully.
He said, “It felt like lightning – pressure, excessive pressure – and then I think it shook its head because it was let go. It was very fast,” he said.

“I was squeezing the entire Mangalb region with my left hand,” he recalled the outlet, as others pulled the tournicate just above their elbow to prevent bleeding.
The video of the scene captured the beach around the bender immediately after the attack.

The moments of the lifeguards arrived later and rushed the bender to the hospital, where doctors underwent emergency surgery to re -connect the worn muscles, tendons and nerves.
Remarkable, he was able to move his fingers before surgery.
“When I looked down, my arm was completely amazed,” said the bender. “This is a miracle. My hand was still working.”

Further recovery can be long, and the resulting scar will be permanent.
“I don’t know if these calm people would dig girls, but it can be ugly,” he jokingly said.

The long -term surfer has been eager to return to the waves, the doctors expected that the bender expects to recover completely within months.
“I think the Lord stopped it from becoming serious. He mysteriously works,” said the bender. “I got to take a little break, but I will come back there. I’m heartily a new Smirna surfer, and it is not going to end now.”
