The unexpected flash collided with floods after heavy rains.
The Hampshire and the Isle of White Fire and Rescue Service said it received several calls from the island of 18:15 BST, especially from the island in ride and law.
Images of East Couse showed large amounts of water in the roads and in the cows, residents can be seen putting sandbags outside their properties.
