The FBI on Monday began a two -day search through dense and rugged area in the state of Washington, which is expected to find clues for the hideout of Travis Decker after about three months, when he allegedly killed his three young daughters.
Investigators still have no evidence about whether Decker is alive or dead, Chalan County Sheriff Mike Morrison and Peter Orth, FBI’s Supervisory Senior Resident Agent, said during a news conference on Monday.
“You can’t be very well in such a discovery,” said Orth. “It is so incredibly densely a vegetation that anyone who walks on one of these trails can walk 10 meters from the footpath and no one will know that they are there.”
Decker, a former and trained military existential, has been desired from June 2, when the bodies of his three daughters were discovered at the Rock Island Campground at the National Forest at the National Forest.

Authorities shut down popular campgrounds and trailheads in the forest near Levenworth to allow around 100 FBI agents and other law enforcement officers to allow bushes through rugged areas.
Officials said the divers planned to find icic creek to reach the areas where Logzam had first stopped the dive teams, while other investigators had discovered grids in a quarter miles around the campground.

Morrison said that if the decker is still alive in the forest, he believes that he should be “very tired” so far.
“He is perfect every day; we just have to be perfect once,” Morrison said.

Officials confirmed last week that Decker was the only suspect in alleged murders, saying that his DNA was found at the crime site. No additional DNA profiles were detected.
“If it is not wearing me this uniform, it will be another chalan county sheriff … we will find him in one fashion or another,” Morrison said.
