The Exeter Airport is to be sold with two other English regional airports in the Multimilian-Pound Deal.
Investment firm ICG has agreed to an agreement with the rigby group to purchase the Devon Airport, as well as the BBC, along with airports at Bornmouth and Norwich.
According to Sky News, the deal costs £ 200 meters, and BBC sources said that leading trade authorities in the southwest were informed about the sale before the expected announcement on Monday.
The ICG and Rigby Group refused to comment after the BBC was approached.
The Exeter Airport, which is in the village of Cleest Honiton, opened in 1937 and today there are commercial flights to the UK and international destinations including Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Lanzorot.
The site was used by fighter aircraft during World War II, including 307 squadrons of Polish Air Force, which “Save the City” by defending the Exeter during the Nazi bombing raid in May 1942,
The size of the airport has increased, with a new arrival building opened by Princess Royal in June 1999, which opened a £ 950,000 departure lounge after four years.
In January 2007, the Devon County Council sold the airport at regional and city airports – an expert airport investment and development group was run by Balfor Beatty – in a deal of £ 60M.
In June 2013, Bal Fore Beatty Airport sold to Rigby Group For an unknown amount.
Airlines operating from the Exeter Airport include Ryanier, KLM, Er Lingus and TUI.
The airport also served as a base for flybees before the company entered the administration and was liquidated in 2020.
In August last year, the owners of the airport stated that the site had withdrawn the profit for the first time after the Kovid -19 epidemic.
Its owners stated that, by March 2024 in 12 months, the airport had a profit of more than just £ 1m, already represented a £ 2m turnout from one year.
The airport spokesperson said that passenger number also increased with 435,000 compared to 402,000 last year, an increase of 8%, an airport spokesman.
In November, the airport said that passenger number was reported 337,993 passengers traveled through the hub from April to October 2024 – 15,740 growth compared to the same period of previous year.
