“We won’t be friends for once,” The Netherlands said before a crunch match against England in the Euro 2025 on Wednesday, and his girlfriend Beth Mead.
Defending champions England would be out of the tournament if they lost to the Netherlands and avoid defeat to Wales in the second round of Group D Game in France Switzerland.
So what if Miedema sends packing to her partner in Zurich?
“I don’t think she would talk to me a little,” she said. “But this is difficult. I know I am with Bath, but I have some best friends in that team.
“It is part of football. It is part of the game.”
Miedema said that the couple had played against each other many times, not more often towards victory with Mead.
“I probably stayed at its other end [more]If we get through tomorrow, I will be happy for us [Wednesday]”28 -year -old said.
The match will be live on the BBC One, iPlayer and BBC Sport website from BST and Midema: “We both know what we are doing.
“This is a very important tournament. I don’t know if it will start or be an option. As a Dutch player, I will make every effort to win the game.”
Mead had said that it was “unavoidable” that the couple would have been drawn against each other in the euro.
Arsenal Forward Mead said, “We are both very, very competitive and professional. We are excited for the tournament and are able to play again.”
Manchester City Striker Madema celebrated her 100th international goal scoring as the Netherlands defeated Wales 3–0 in their initial stability, but the mead lost to England France, when the couple came face to face.
They have been in a relationship since 2022, each enjoying the success of the euro, winning it in 2017 and winning it after five years.
They both missed the 2023 World Cup after suffering from injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) within a month of each other at the end of 2022.
Both have fought back on full fitness for Euro 2025. They regularly communicate with each other but the football chat is strictly limited.
“We are in contact, but when it gets closer to our games, we don’t talk to football,” said.
“Obviously we want each other to be good but not against each other!”
A subject he talks a lot is his dog Mile, whom he welcomed to his family when he was recovering from his ACL injuries.
Mead was lucky because Mile (pronunciation My-Li) was allowed to stay with her during the preparation of the former England-euros at St. George Park.
“He is like our little mini-mask,” Mead said about Miley, a working Cocker Spaniel.
“Girls and employees love him. It’s been great for him here.”
