England have faced Sweden three times in the last three years, one of those fixtures is incredibly memorable for its fans.
He won 4–0 in the Euro 2022 semi-finals, night where Alesia Russo tried his memorable backhell.
England’s record goalkeeper, Ellen White, played in that stability and said that he was “a little nervous” about the lioness facing Sweden in the quarter -finals.
“Whatever we were going to face, he was going to protest a strong opposition,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live. “We have faced Sweden many times, everyone will remember the semi-finals from 2022 where we have defeated him 4–0 and we have recently drawn with him.
“Sweden looks great, he defeated Germany firmly in his previous game. I am a little nervous, I think there are going to be a lot of goals for England.”
Both teams are also the only European nations to reach the semi -final stage in each of the last three major tournaments.
The Scandinavian side is only twice, in 2009 and 2017, failed to make it in the final four in its last 11 euros.
Since his meeting in the previous euro, the sides have played a 1–1 and 0–0 draw in the Rashtra League.
Earlier, England lost 2–1 to Sweden in a bronze medal match at the 2019 World Cup.
Sarina Wigman’s side has won two, draws two and lost five games played against Sweden in big competitions. Against Germany, he has won two, drawn one and lost five.
