Eric Menandez has come to know of a “serious medical status”, his lawyer has told several American news outlets.
The news is ready to appear in parole hearing after he and his brother, Lyal, after spending decades in jail for the killings of his parents.
The lawyer did not give much information about the medical condition. The BBC has sought a comment.
Menandage was taken from a San Diego Jail, in which he was held for an external medical facility on Friday for years.
The California State Department of Karcasions and Rehabilitation told the local outlet CBS 8 that Menandez was in a “appropriate position”, but it could not give further details.
The brothers, who have been behind bars for 35 years, were angry in jail in 1989 in May at the age of 50 for the killings of Kitty and Jose Menandez.
They were earlier serving life without the possibility of parole.
But earlier this year, a judge of Los Angeles determined Eric, 54, and 57 -year -old Lyl, if he was released, there was no “unfair risk”. The judge said that the brothers had done “enough” while in jail to sentence.
The new sentence of the pair made them eligible for parole thoughts due to their young age when their crimes were committed.
The brothers’ lawyer Mark Geragos called for the release of his customer’s health in a TMZ interview by Eric Menandage.
“I think he should puff the parole, I think it is the appropriate word, and he can medically hate the hearing so that he can work with the parole attorney and get up for speed and get ready and prepared it and give it his best shot,” said Mr. Geragos. “I think this is the only fair and equitable thing.”
The parole hearing of the brothers is scheduled for August 21.
The pair went through two tests before being convicted in the 1990s. He claimed that the murders were in self -defense. The prosecutors said the brothers were spoiled, who killed their parents for financial benefits.
