Deorjay “DJ” Daniel was sworn in as an honorary Deputy Mayor for public safety in New York City on Tuesday morning.
The 13 -year -old cancer, the survivor, who was honored by President Donald Trump during his joint address earlier this year, can add a new title to resume his comprehensive law enforcement.
Daniel said on Tuesday, “I wouldn’t have happened here if it wouldn’t be for my daddy,” Daniel said on Tuesday, “My father is running me everywhere. No matter how tired he is, he still works. And outside in Texas, we say that we complete it, we do it, we do it, like my father says.”

Adams announced in front of Daniel’s swearing -in, the 13 -year -old had set the Guinness Book of World Records to administer the oath in more than 1,350 agencies among the most law enforcement agencies across the country, including a role as Police Commissioner of New York City earlier this year.

Daniel was inducted into the National Spotlight, when he was named an honorary US secret service agent during Trump’s joint address to the Congress earlier this year.
Since then, Daniel has been honored by law enforcement agencies across the country with the support of his father, Theodis, who announced his dialect to the 18th Congress district of Texas earlier this month.
“When it comes to choosing people to serve in an important role, we are looking for courage, commitment and experience. And you look at all these stars, silver, diamonds. They have the experience that we need. That is a war-defense. He is a strong leader with a strong record of public service, and we proud to take the oath,” said Adams.

The Mayor, who said that public safety is the top priority of his administration, announced that Daniel will visit Empire State Building and other tourist attractions on Tuesday.
Adams presented Daniel with “Deputy Mayor DJ” uniform and then handed him a proclamation after the swearing -in ceremony.
Daniel shared with Fox News Digital earlier this month, “DJs were initially five months, and we defeated it.”

Daniel was detected by terminal brain and spinal cancer when he was 6 years old, but has continued to defy obstacles.
During his Congress address, Trump described Daniel as “a young man who really loves our police” because he named him an honorary secret service agent for a permanent ovation from the Congress.
