England benefited India’s Rishabh Pants from injury in a difficult early day of the fourth Test at Old Trafford.
Pants scored 37 runs in an important stand with Sai Sudarshan when he attempted a reverse sweep on Chris Woakes and was hit on the right leg. After treatment on the field, Pant retired.
The recommended recommendation was paying England for wicketkeeper Jamie Smith’s drop, until he took Ben Stokes for a long leg for 61.
Waiting for the results of a scan on pants injury, tourists left India 264–4.
England is looking for a victory that will seal the series, and Captain Stokes again took two important wickets after selecting the ground to win the fourth gradual toss.
A near -the -nearest cloud under the sky and on a pitch that offered something throughout the day, India dug – Yashasvi Jaiswal usually made 58, KL Rahul usually made the correct 46.
England certainly had a touch with a new ball, then improved after lunch.
Chris Woakes was rewarded for a great magic for an edge with Rahul, Left-Arm Spinner Liam Dawson hit Jaswal with his seventh ball after eight years from Test cricket, and Stokes opposed captain Shubman Gill LBW, who was playing no stroke.
Good luck was placed at 20 and was rebuilt with Pant, which was a successful need for England, which was in unfortunate circumstances for India’s wicketkeeper.
