Bowling coach Tim Southee says that India had no right to complain about England’s strategy at the dramatic conclusion for the third day of the third Test of the third Test at Lord’s.
Opener Zak Crolly repeatedly delayed the bowler Jasprit Bumrah and called for the physio after being hit on the finger as he successfully ensured that he and Ben Docket faced an over before closes instead of only two.
India’s players angrily reacted to the delay, pointing to the insecticide for Crrolly with Captain Shubman Gill, who was shouting an exclamation in his direction.
“It is always exciting that both sides look animated towards the end,” South said, who is the fast-bouncing advisor of England.
“It is not sure that they were complaining about when Shubman was massaging the middle of the day.
“This is clearly part of the game. It is an exciting way to finish.”
England excluded India for 387 – Level with the first Panis score of the hosts – Crowley and Docket Emerged to bat five minutes a day to bat, which should have been time for two overs.
