I had never gone to Geneva before, but I think a large crowd of England fans stood outside a pub in the central city on a Sunny, not a hot ideal on Tuesday afternoon.
I arrive in the mantras of “Come on England”, with a drum, with Trumpat Song and “Sarina” in tribute to England manager Sarina Viegman.
I meet Lisa and Jane for the first time, who is in Geneva since Thursday after four days of hiking in Alps.
“Here below it is a bit busy, as you can imagine, but we are really enjoying it,” Lisa says, who turned 50 next week and can celebrate a milestone on the same day that England play in the final if they defeat Italy.
“The fingers crossed Eh,” she says.
Both women are among the lucky people who are tickets for the semi -finals and say they are very excited to support the team.
“I am probably going to be quite emotional,” she says.
The stadium is eager to watch the semi-final matches in the stadium, Kerry, Kris and Charlotte, which have all been found as a result of the tournament.
“Everyone is really favorable, so you can talk to anyone,” Crisi says.
“This was much more emotional than as I was expecting. Last week’s game [the quarter-final] Actually took it out of us, “she says.
Chrissy is not alone to realize that the nail-bite-final match against Sweden was difficult for the nerves. I talked to other fans of England, it was also described as a “emotional rollercaster”, but they are thrilled that the lioness came to the top.
Cherlot says that when she joined the Euro 2022 final, she developed a real love of the game when England defeated Germany.
She says, “I am really excited to really go through those feelings and this time get emotional about it,” she says.
The first time in the Euro was Manish, who lived in the Swiss city of Swiss, but supports England, and Stephen, who is the British and says he believes that Switzerland is doing a great job as the host of the Tournament.
“This is a wonderful place. Great country, great people, great hospitality, it’s amazing.”
