Elon Musk says he is starting a new political party weeks after a dramatic fall with US President Donald Trump.
The billionaire announced on his social media platform X that he had established the US party, billing it as a challenge for the Republican and Democratic to-party system.
However, it is not clear that the party is formally registered with the US election officials. Musk, who was born outside the US and thus disqualified for the post of US President, does not say who will lead it.
He first raised the possibility of forming a party during his public quarrel with Trump, who saw him leaving his role in administration and attached to a vicious public spat with his former colleague.
During the line, Musk posted a pole on X that asks users if there should be a new political party in the US.
Referring to that pole in his post on Saturday, Musk wrote: “By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you will have it!
“When it comes to insolvency to our country with waste and graft, we live in one-sided system and not in democracy.
“Today, the US Party is created to give you its freedom back.”
Until Saturday, the Federal Election Commission did not publish documents, indicating the party to formally register.
While in American politics, it is difficult for him to gain sufficient nationwide popularity to pose a real threat to him outside the traditional two-sided systems.
In the presidential election last year, the candidates of Libeterian Party, Green Party and People’s Party liked tried to stop Trump or his Democratic rival, Kamla Harris from winning.
Musk was recently a chief supporter of Trump, danced with him during the election rallies last year and brought his four -year -old son to meet Trump at the Oval office.
He was also Trump’s prominent financial backer: Musk spent $ 250m (£ 187m) to help him get the office.
After the election, he was appointed to lead the so -called department (DOGE) of the government’s efficiency, which was assigned to identify the swing cuts in the federal budget.
His decline with Trump began when he left the administration in May and publicly criticized Trump’s tax and spending plans.
Law – What Trump has called his “Bada, Beautiful Bill” – was passed narrowly by the Congress and was signed by the President this week in the law.
Laws include heavy spending commitments and tax cuts, and are estimated to add more than $ 3TN to the US deficit in the next decade.
Importantly for Musk, who owns the electric-vehicle veteran Tesla, the bill of Trump does not focus on green transition or subsidy for products such as Trip.
Trump wrote his social media site, Truth Social, this week, “Elon can get more subsidy in history than any human being.” “Without subsidy, Elon might have to close the shop and go back home in South Africa.”
Trump threatened Dogy to monitor the subsidy in favor of Musk’s companies, which also for other businesses of the billionaire.
Musk also has SpaceX, which launchs rockets for the US government and Starlink, which provides satellite service for us and European defense forces.
