High School Shortstop Eli Wilits became the latest teenager to take a big step in making their professional baseball dreams come true.
The citizens of Washington selected the Wilits with the number 1 overall pick of MLB Amateur Draft on Sunday night.

At the age of 17, he took the youngest player No.1 since Ken Grife Junior with Seattle Meriners in 1987.
He is the son of East-President Legier Regi Wilits, who played for Los Angeles Angels and was a coach with New York Yankis.
The Wilits played baseball at the Fort Cob-Brookston High School in Oklahoma. He is a switch-heatting shortstop, which is expected to put more power in his swing because it develops.
