“Despite this unfortunate chapter in the history of Mason, the university now has the opportunity to enter a resolution agreement with the office for civil rights to come to compliance with the federal civil rights laws,” he continued. “In the last seven months, this is very clear: Trump-Makmohan Education Department will not allow racial exclusion practices-the Civil Rights Act which violates the exemplary of the Act, equal protection section and the Supreme Court-to continue corrupting our educational institutions of our country.”

The proposed resolution will require the university to send a statement to the students and faculty to follow the title VI in its recruitment, work, promotion and tenure decisions, and the statement should include a personal apology from the university president for “promoting illegal discriminatory practices”.

The federal government also said that George Mason should conduct annual training for any person involved in these practices to confirm that it will not give preferences on the basis of race.
