The city of Edinburgh Council would begin an investigation into the death of a “gentle giant”, found in a city room toilet.
Shaun Stephen was found dead in a toilet in the customer aid hub on July 7 after disappearing on 1 July.
Council leader Jane Megher and other council group leaders paid tribute to the 38 -year -old at the first full council meeting after his death on Thursday.
A family friend described Mr. Stephen as a person who loved, who was “his whole life ahead of him”.
A source told the local democracy reporting service that his body was discovered by the sanitation workers, who thought that the toilet door was closed for days due to being out of convenience.
It is understood that security staff were about to check the toilets at the end of every day as part of their era.
The body of Mr. Stephen was found in an advanced phase of decomposition.
A funderizer for Mr. Stephen’s funeral rose more than £ 3,000 a month after death.
Organizer Edel Ford described death as “very unexpected”.
He said, “He had his whole life, he was the most loved gentle giant, whom you will ever meet.”
He is widely known to Mr. Stephen to his south of Edinburgh, and said that his friends and family were “completely destroyed” from his death.
Ms. Megher said that the investigation will run with the interrogation being done by the police Scotland.
Bal earlier said that he was investigating his death but it was not considered suspicious.
His wife, Julie Stephen, had told the media that he had reported her disappearance on 1 July.
She told the police that she had last talked to her husband on the phone when she was near the city chambers.
