The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activity Department in Dubai (IACAD) has launched a new initiative called “Development of Mosque lessons and integration of sermons” as part of its IACAD-X projects. The program is designed to improve the quality and stability of religious lessons in mosques in Dubai, making them more relevant and attractive to today’s diverse communities.

The main goal of this project is to increase mosque lessons by standardizing its content within a modern preaching structure. This structure creates a balance between maintaining religious authenticity and being sufficiently favorable to address the realities of contemporary society. It plays an important role in educating the community and its purpose is to strengthen this role by providing structured, easy-to-understand religious messages. The course is carefully conducted around the required subjects and main concepts that resonate with people’s everyday life. The material is also sewn to various age groups, in which special attention is paid to children and youth. These lessons are distributed using interactive storytelling methods, making them more attractive. In particular, each text is designed to be brief and impressive, not more than five minutes to take care and maximize understanding.
A qualitative leap directed by basic values
Project lead, Jasem Mohammad al Khajaraji, told how this initiative is distributed to religious lessons, there is a significant improvement in it. “This initiative represents a qualitative leap in the functioning of giving religious lessons,” he said. The program is built around six main values that are discovered in two months of cycles. Each year, these values are refreshed through the stories of the Prophet, the biography of the Prophet Muhammad and the stories taken from the relevant Quran. The project is its heartfelt and reliable language to separate the project, which is specifically designed for the new generation. Instead of a one-way lecture, lessons encourage live engagement with audiences, making learning experience more interactive and meaningful.
Service of the entire community with three main tracks
The project includes three main educational tracks that are to meet the needs of all mosques visitors. Along with them, there is a special recurring section called “children and family families and family”. The purpose of this section is to strengthen the bond between families and mosques, which is a central place for promoting positive values to the mosque and upbringing within the community. Overall, this initiative is a forwarding move to resume religious education in Dubai mosques, ensuring that the lesson is not only inherent in the tradition, but also deeply resonated with people’s daily experiences and modern realities.
