A burst pipe has forced a zoo to close for the day and to be affected by water supply issues to other houses in the region.
Drusilus Park in East Sussex’s Alfreston said it was closed as it has no water.
A spokesperson of the park said: “We have provisions for our animals that have access to all the water they need.”
South East Water reported that some residents of the Alfreston region did not have water or less pressure due to a serious burst on their network.
Drusilus Park said all tickets for Saturday would be replaced.
Charles Hele, the event manager for South East Water, said that the burst was located and being repaired.
“We use our tankers fleet, so that the water can be injecting directly into the network to reduce the disruption in Alfresten, including the Drillus Park, some supply should look back,” he said.
“Bottled water is being given to our customers who are on the priority service register.”
