According to a statement issued by K-up Live Arena, rapper Drake has canceled its concert in Manchester on Monday due to “travel logistics”.
The Canadian musician has reinstated the performance at the venue for August 5 and the organizers stated that “all tickets are valid for the new date”.
He had already performed two giggs in the city on Friday and Saturday as part of a global tour and is due to the staging of another concert in the Co-Opt Live on 4 August.
A statement on Arena’s website stated: “Due to unexpected ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow’s performance has been resumed in Manchester on 28 July.”
It states: “The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, August 5, and it is ready to be an unforgettable night.”
Although many of the ticket fans for Monday remained unaffected, some described short notice cancellation as “jokes”.
One person wrote: “I extended my unpaid holiday in Dubai to live in Manchester so that I could see Drake on July 28, to cancel her last minute.”
Another woman said that she felt that it was a “lame excuse of travel logistics”.
