Police have confirmed that they are preparing for a possible visit to Scotland at the end of this month by US President Donald Trump.
When it opens, he is expected to visit his new golf course in Aberdeenshire, although it is understood that there will be no private meeting with King Charles.
Trump is most likely in September, a full state trip to the UK later in the year.
Police is planning a possible visit to Scotland at the end of this month by the United States Assistant Chief Constable Emma Bond: “Police Scotland Assistant Chief Constable Chief Constable Emma Bond.
He said: “While official confirmation has not been done yet, it is important that we prepare in advance what an important policing operation will be.”
If the journey moves forward, this will be the first time Donald Trump will travel to Scotland since his victory in the US election.
His last visit to Scotland as President in 2018 required a major security operation with thousands of protests in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Eric Trump and his father broke the ground at the 18-Holl Link McLeode course at Trump International Resort in Meni in 2023.
Trump International claimed a new course – the mother -born mother, in the name of Mary’s Lewis – was completed in 2012, with original curriculum as “the greatest sand tibba in Scotland” and “the greatest 36 holes in golf”.
The resort has inspired the dispute in the past – five years ago The Tibba et Maini lost its status as an important protected environment at the national level.
But Trump International claimed that the new course was one of the “most environmentally friendly and durable”.
