Former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lavin has been set for a medical in Leeds United after arriving at an agreement to join the new promoted Premier League Side on free transfer.
The 28 -year -old ended his nine -year stay in Everton in June, stating that it was “incredibly difficult decision” to leave the club.
Calvert-Lavin scored 71 goals in 273 matches for Everton after joining Sheffield United in £ 1.5m in 2016.
Other striking options of Leeds are Joeli Piro and Lucas Nempa, while Patrick Bamford has been told that he has joined Mallorca on Manager Daniel Pharke’s plans this season and Mato Joseph has joined Mallorca on debt.
Calvert-lewin’s best season was in 2020-21, when he scored 16 goals in the 33 Premier League Games and was part of the England squad that reached the finals of the European Championship in that summer.
He was struggling with injuries and produced the next season and started more than half of the 26 matches played by him in 2024–25.
He has not added his 11 England cap and four goals since 2021.
