Angels Shortstop Zach Neto went there to get the ball out of the air, stepped on a second basis to step on the second basis, which fell away from the second place and threw the first Basman Nolan Shanuel, who tagged Dalton Rashing to complete the triple play. Neto was credited with two putouts and one assistance in the play.
“I grabbed the ball, stepped on the other, and as I was watching earlier, I saw that the man still surprised the first time, so I threw the ball there, hopefully Nolan can do a drama, and he did,” Neto said. “I actually told Nolan that if he messed up that one – because he was the first (triple play) in my life – if he messed up, we were going to have some words.”
It was the eighth triple play in the history of the club, but only the second since 1997. The team completed one against Tampa Bay rays in August 2023 last time.

Neto said that he has only completed triple plays on social media.
“I only saw it on YouTube and Tiktok and everything,” he said.
Ohtani later took some revenge in the game when he hit a Go-forward home run to keep the doseers above 6-5 in the top of the ninth. However, Angels flew to tie the game with a scanuel sacrifice together at the bottom of the ninth and won the team in 10th to win Edel’s high-topper.
Angels won 7-6 and improved in 58–62 in the season.
