The Special Investigation Team (SIT) at Dharmasthala, with the work of excavation, producing minimum evidence after more than two weeks, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar has said that the state is weighing legal measures against those who believe that they believe that the pilgrims are running a “misconception campaign” for the purpose of the city and its authorities.
Based on the claims of a former cleanliness worker, SIT, who started his operation on July 29, has investigated the 13 burial sites that he recognized, fixing the remains of the skeletal from only one. Senior SIT officials indicated that two more sites would be tested before bringing the search closer. The complainant had alleged that in 25 years he was forced to bury hundreds of victims of sexual abuse and harassment.
Addressing reporters at the KPCC office on Friday, Shivkumar said that the issue was about the appropriate process, not biased. “This is not about or against being against the Dharmasthala. The process should be according to the law. I have to go closely to the Dharmasthala, and I believe in this place. I firmly believe that the plot will be exposed in the coming days. Home Minister will present the facts about the matter.”
When a conspiracy was in existence, it was pressurized, he replied, “Home Minister will explain it in detail. The Chief Minister is committed to bringing out the truth and warns against any conspiracy to tarnish the image. The law is equal for everyone. There is no attempt to protect anyone. Nobody’s reputation should be tarnished.”
In Dargaluru, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister in -charge of Kannada district, said that the Home Minister. Parmeshwar will present a full account in both homes on 18 August. He said that the seating task is “transparently and impartially to find out the truth”.
Gundurap also said, “If there is a conspiracy behind it, it needs to be considered,” and said “nothing can be denied. All the facts need to be known through investigation.” He accused the BJP of politicizing religious affairs: “The BJP is a party that seeks political gains … Now that all the facts have come out, the BJP is calculating how they can use it for political gains.”
According to him, various groups, including left-handed organizations, pushed for a formal investigation. “Even Virendra Hegde said that it would be good to sit,” he said, although he believed that the local police could take care of the case initially, “Now look back, look back, it was a good thing that the SIT was formed. No one would have any doubt. There would be no doubt. The police cannot be convicted. A transparent investigation is going on.”
Meanwhile, the leader of the opposition R Ashok demanded that the state government revealed the identity of the masked person, who took the police to the excavation site and handed over the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Ashok alleged that despite spending Nothing was found in the investigation, deploying 1 crore and heavy machinery, drones and modern equipment.
He said, “Who is directing the excavation this man?”
As Sit has wrapped his work, Vijayendra’s BJP state president has announced that around 200 members will travel in the convoy from Bengaluru to Dharmasthala on Sunday “Lord Manjunath and Annappa Swamy’s devotees and not as party workers,” describing the expression of solidarity with the temple administration.
