February – June 2017: Investigation of Fabio Sementilli’s murder

Raksha also raised the issue with a surveillance footage at the parking lot, which the prosecutors claimed to be seen by Baker in Monica’s truck. He said in his speed that “… the quality of the video is so granular, and the focal point is so far, so that it is unaware of being border,” and you can’t leave a person’s truck.
July 7, 2023: Robert Baker’s dramatic petition change
On July 7, 2023, Baker changed his petition “No guilty” from “no competition.” When he was sentenced, the judge explained to him that the “no competition” petition is essentially similar to the “guilty” petition and asked if he understood that Baker replied, “Yes, sir.” Baker was sentenced to life in jail without the possibility of parole. Monica’s lawyers had earlier tried to separate their case from Baker, which was refused by the judge. By arguing “no competition”, Baker created a significant change in the court proceedings. Now, Monica will be tried separately to kill her husband, Fabio, without a baker.
