According to police, after escaping, Virpal sold his ancestral property in Farrukhabad and broke all relations with his village.
Police said a 60 -year -old man arrested his wife in Lucknow after killing his wife in Delhi for more than two decades.
Virpal alias Maiju had been arresting since 2004 and was declared a declared criminal in 2005.
An official said that he had taken a new identity as Vijay aka Ramdal and started living in Lucknow. While hiding, Virpal also remarried and had three daughters from his second wife.
Aditya Gautam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) said, “On September 22, 2004, the police came to know that a tenant had vacated a room after attacking his wife and child.”
A police team responded to the call, a woman lay down in a pool of blood with her mouth. Gautam said that broken bangles, a blood -stained brick, and a broken tooth lay near his body.
It was alleged that Virpal was unhappy with the wedding and was not meeting with his wife.
The official said one of his children, who were found injured that day, recognized his father and uncle Suresh alias Siju as the attackers.
The DCP said, “Co-accused Suresh Kumar was arrested in 2007 for sentenced to life imprisonment, tried, and managed to migrate for more than 21 years.”
