A SpiceJet flight from Pune to Delhi, Maharashtra, made a middle-hurry u-turn for the original airport on Monday and allegedly landed in full emergency conditions due to a technical mess.
The PTI new agency quoted a source as saying that the flight returned to Pune completely under emergency circumstances.
SpiceJet said in a statement that the aircraft landed safely and passengers were normally abolished.
According to Flightradar24.com data, it was a Boeing 737–8AS aircraft, registration VT-SLG.
“SpiceJet Flight SG 937 returned to Pune shortly after the take-off, working from Pune to Delhi on 1 September. After the take-off, Flap Transit Light Lights, and the operating crew made all the necessary checks according to standard operating procedures,” said the aircraft.
As a precautionary measure, SpiceJet said, the pilots decided to return to Pune.
Flight SG937 departed from Pune Airport with a delay of 40 minutes from its scheduled time at 6 am, and the flight tracking website was to land in Delhi at 8.10 am, according to the website flightradar24.com.
On Friday, a SpiceJet flight carrying 205 passengers made an emergency landing at Srinagar Airport due to pressure problem.
SpiceJet Flight SG 385, with 205 passengers from Delhi to Srinagar, including four children, and seven crew on the board, “reported emergency due to the problem of officials,” officials said that the aircraft landed safely at the airport at 3:27 pm.
“No medical aid was requested by passengers or crew on flight,” officials said. The aircraft would have to undergo necessary inspection, PTI quoted the authorities.
