Washington, DC, Police Chief Pamela Smith on Thursday issued an executive order giving limited cooperation with the federal immigration officers.
The step has come after the recent federal acquisition of the department and sending the National Guard soldiers to curb crime and homeless in the capital.
According to the order, officials of the Metropolitan Police Department can now help in sharing information about individuals who are not in MPD detained during the “traffic stop” and “According to” transportation and detained subjects for the employees of the federal immigration agency, according to ” NBC 4 Washington,
