Former village Andrew Cumo appeared joking on Saturday when he said that if he wins Zoharan Mamdani of the assembly in the race for the Mayor of New York City, he would go to Florida.
Cumo lost to Mamdani in Democratic Primary, but plans to challenge him as an independent in the general election. The line given to a Hampton’s breakfast with political internal sources provoked laughter, but also highlighted the increasing disagreement on the political direction of the city.
“It’s not all. We either win or even I will go to Florida. God refuses,” Cumo said, according to the people present in the program.
The comment came in Southampton during a private gathering organized by businessman John Catsimatidis in 75 mains. A GOP donor and radio host, catsimatidis, grystase and d’Agostino are also owners of the supermarket chain, who may be influenced by the proposal of the government’s proposal to build a government -operated grocery stores directly.
The guest list included RXR Realty President Bruce Moler, Ambassador George Tsunis and former top cumo colleague Melissa Derosa. A participant described the line as a “wow” moment. Many guests said that it attracts the attention of the room.

Cuomo’s Senior Advisor, Rich Azzopardi, defends comments New York Post,
“Governor Kuomo will never give up on New York,” he said. “Line underlined bets in this election and risked a dangerous inexperienced, hatred socialist to lead the city.”
Cumo repeatedly referred to Mamdani as “The Kid” during the incident. He proposed a “death punishment” for the supply of landlords and housing for the freeze proposal of Mamdani’s fare, and dismissed his platform as “unrealistic bumper sticker slogans”.
Mamdani’s campaign did not respond to the remarks request.

Kuomo also aimed for Mayor Eric Adams, who is also running as an independent, saying, “We had not had a competent mayor since Bloomberg.” He accused Adams of being unable to focus on the ongoing investigation and morality concerns.
Asked about the criticism of the New York Post, Adams replied, “If he is serious about going to Florida, he should move forward. He has already spent three weekends in Hepton.”

The race, which also has Republican Nominee Curtis Sliva, has become one of the most unconventional mayor competitions in recent memory.

Cuomo’s campaign did not immediately respond to the request of Fox News Digital for comment.
