Around 150 firefighters faced a major fire in an industrial property in South-East London.
Shortly before 23:00 BST on Friday, a warehouse exploded in a scrapard on the Mapol Crescent in Eryth.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) said there were three degrees and several vehicles, but there was no report of any injury.
Blaze, which is under investigation, was brought under control by 06:52.
LFB Assistant Commissioner Pat Gaulbourne said: “Our crews are working hard in a big fire on an industrial property in the Erith overnight. While the fire is now under control, we continue to deal with some areas of waste materials that are still disqualified.”
He said that firefighters would maintain an appearance on the site for the rest of the days.
“Property and nearby roads are closed and we recommend residents or those who work on the site to escape the area,” said Mr. Gaulbourne.
He advised the residents to keep the windows and doors closed due to the amount of smoke in the area.
The LFB spokesperson said the twenty-five fire engines were sent to the scene with two 32-meters of turnteable ladlers, which were used to provide an aerial view and water from above.
One of the fire boats of the brigade was also deployed to help fire fighting from the River Temes. The vessel can pump 2,500 liters of water per minute using its remote-powered monitor.
The crew of Bexley, Erith, Plumstand, East Greenwich, CIDCP and other nearby stations responded after receiving the first emergency call at 22:47.
