The free speech fight of a high school student against the Northern Carolina School Board took an important step towards the closure of the court on Tuesday.

Mache’s parents said that they were grateful and celebrating legal victory.
“We are grateful to bring justice with our son for the tireless efforts of Liberty Justice Center, and for the current school board members who chose to work with us to help resolve the case,” Leeh and Chad McGagi said. “With the help of our community, we have proved that constitutional rights do not end at school doors. We are celebrating this victory and hope that it encourages other families to stand firm in adverse conditions.”
Davidson County School Board did not immediately return the request for comment.
