The Colorado, a man who killed an Air Force veteran while driving drunk last year, would spend the rest of his life behind bars, when he was found guilty of killing the first-degree.
Paul Stephenson, a 57 -year -old Castle Rock’s 57 -year -old, was convicted for killing USAF Lieutenant Colonel Matt Anderson in April and was convicted for injuring four of his children after crashing in his vehicle while drunk drunk.
Stephenson was sentenced to 92 years in jail.
According to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney Office, Anderson was stopped at the 7-Ilevan Gas Station with his family after a visit to the Douglas County Fair. His wife was walking in the store when Stephenson took his Chevi Silverrado in his vehicle.

Stephennson found his third DUI sentence when Anderson was convicted.
District Attorney George Browcler said his office “chased the first degree murder charge to send a message to drunk drivers in Douglas County.”
Browcler, who prosecuted the case, said that it is a “bitter coincidence” that justice was assigned justice against Anderson’s killer a day before July fourth.

Brauchler admitted that Douglas is the most aggressive on drunk drivers compared to other courts in the county region.

Anderson’s father said the decision “gives a small amount of closure” to his family and thanked the agencies involved in handing over the punishment.
Senior Deputy District Attorney Net Marsh appreciated the jury’s decision and said it shows how serious it is to drive drunk.
Marsh said, “The defendant only cared about himself and showed a complete disregard for the value of human life. This was the first degree-charam indifferent murder and agreed.
