Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has targeted the state’s Umbrella Brand ‘House of Himalayas by doing business of Rs 100 crore by the year 2030 and has also directed to ensure marketing of its products through Unity Mall.Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday reviewed the progress of sports schemes including Mukhyamantri Udimshala Yojana, Growth Center Yojana, Himalaya House, and Center of Excellence Scheme in detail, which is operated under the Rural Development Department in the Secretariat. Giving instructions to make special efforts to promote rural entrepreneurship, the Chief Minister said that along with increasing livelihood resources in rural areas, it is necessary to give all possible incentives to those who are returning to rural areas. He said that for better implementation of the schemes, the ‘Dorstep delivery system’ should be strengthened.The Chief Minister said that to create a market for state products at national and international levels, a concrete marketing strategy for the House of Himalayas of the Umbrella Brand should be developed. Special attention should also be paid to the quality of its products. The Chief Minister said that concrete efforts should be made to increase the products of development centers by adopting a commercial approach, which increases the livelihood of the local people. Work should also be done to connect development centers with skill development.The Chief Minister directed to make proper arrangements to ensure training, financial assistance and access to the market, along with providing necessary skills, resources and assistance under the center of excellence scheme to promote entrepreneurship of women in rural areas. In the meeting, Secretary Rural Development Radhika Jha made a presentation on the game changer schemes of the Rural Development Department. He told that till now, one lakh sixty -five thousand women have been made a sister -in -law in the state. The goal is to make one lakh and lakhs of money in the next three years. Under the Chief Minister Udyamshala Yojana, assistance will be provided to fifteen thousand rural enterprises in three years. Under the Himalayan house, work is being done in a phased manner to add more than 150 products of the state.
