Raipur: A session court on Wednesday arrested the bail arguments of two Kerala-based Catholic nuns for alleged human trafficking and forced them to religious transformation citing lack of jurisdiction. The court directed the petitioners to contact the NIA court in Bilaspur for relief.Nanas Pritathi Meera and Vandana Francis, along with tribal youth Sukhmai Mandvi, were arrested on 25 July by the Railway Police (GRP) at Durg station, after the complaint of an executive officer of an Bazing team. The complaint accused him of forcibly converting and traffic of three tribal women of Narayanpur district on the pretext of offering employment.The Sessions Court said that it lacks rights under Section 143 of BNS, which is related to human trafficking.
