A person has been arrested after driving a car through the gate of the Russian Consulate in Sydney.
Police were called to the consulate in the suburb of Vullahra around 08:00 local time, after the report that an unauthorized vehicle was parked in the driveway.
He tried to talk to the driver before he allegedly crashed through gates at the entrance of the property.
Police said the 39 -year -old man was arrested at the scene and is helping the police in the police interrogation. An officer suffered an injury to his hand, but there was no other reports of injuries.
The police have not given any more information about the driver or their inspiration, but say that the inquiry is going on.
A witness told Sydney Morning Herald that the man was arrested without a clear struggle.
A neighbor told the newspaper, “I only saw the policemen pulling their guns on the gentleman, asked Sajjan to come out of his car.”
