According to the charity butterfly convention, a species of butterfly has been found only in southern Europe only, seen in Britain for the first time.
Experts have tracked the rapid expansion of the southern small white butterfly on the north side through Europe in recent decades.
After a volunteer managed to snap a photo, the first UK philosophy was confirmed at the Landguard Bird Observatory in Safok.
It is not yet clear what the expansion of the species has done, although a warm climate is considered part of the answer.
Until some time ago, the border of southern small white was limited to southern Europe, especially in South-East Europe.
Butterfly protection says that the species was first seen in the north of Alps in France and Germany in 2008, and since then it has gradually increased its border, reaching the Netherlands in 2015 and Kallis in 2019.
The first UK visitor was a female butterfly and she was seen by Volunteer Will Bram in the Landguard Nature Reserve on 2 August, Birds according to birds,
Director of Nature Recovery in Butterfly Conservation, Dr. Dan Hore said that the species had created a “ecological jump”.
“There are species that are rare in the UK and from time to time they have turned into people and two for years … but it is not really indicating any significant change in our organisms,” he said.
“The southern small white is very different. It is originally a colony of northern Europe from Swiss Alps to North Sea in the last decade, which is growing northwards at a rate of about 100 km [62 miles] One year. ,
But whether the species lasts for a long period, it cannot be seen yet, they say, because its food source is a garden species called Canditft that is not widely planted here.
The species have never been migrant to the UK, and so far breeding has been recorded here, which is a resident species.
