Vastapane said he had “a lot to do” in high-speed corners as a low-dougle set-up team had chosen the car on the edge in the demand corners.
The low -wing level comes with professionals and opposition – it gives rapid speed on straight but makes the car more difficult through corners and potentially increases wearing tires.
Vastapane said: “We looked a bit slow on the second wing and at the same time it was understanding the moon, and I needed to get rid of that undersire. It was light on the downforce but it seemed to work.”
The piastry was the fastest after the first laps of qualifying, but he failed to improve his second lap, at least partially the last corner, due to a couple of slides out of the club.
The championship leader said: “I was happy with the first lap. It was Mega, to be honest. I was trying to think how I would go fast and I did not.
“The second lap was a bit messed up, but it is all fed up in the weekend; a little on the table, but we will never know that it is enough.”
Piastry stated that she is “not surprised Max hurry here”, it is quite similar speeds and conditions for Suzuka, “where Verustapain won from the pole.
Noris, who is taking the piastry into a 15 -digit race, marking the half -way points of the season, said: “Good qualification. I am not going to be unhappy with the third, I would like to be a pole, but Max did a good job, today a fun qualifying. Not a top but still a good day.
“It’s going to be fun tomorrow, a good fight, with all three, and perhaps with Lewis and Charles and George.”
