Gilpin will not be told about whether Rugby Australia’s data has filed a formal complaint, but said the referee’s body was going through its customary review of the game in the last few days and the officials “stand by their decision”.
He said, “We have returned our referee and our match officials. And we do. They are taking 800-Plus decisions under incredible pressure in front of global audiences in the same game,” he said.
“And they do not get every decision right. But we will support them until they have gone through the correct process and they have got a decision that they can stand behind.”
Meanwhile, Australia fly-haf Tom Linag has asked whether any review conclusions in the decision should be made available to the public.
“I think it’s a gray area,” Linagh said on Tuesday. “I think it would be good for the public to know the final result.
“But unfortunately it does not change the result of stability, the decision is final.”
Former WiBes captain Michael Hooper has been one of those vocal people in the Australian media, saying that it should have been fined for a dangerous stay against Morgan and Lions.
But he says that it is now time for the hosts to focus and focus on the third and final test in Sydney at the end of this week.
“This is the game, well,” he told the rugby union weekly. “But these things happen and if a player teaches you anything, it is that you have to move forward.
“I hope to just mourn for a few days near the walbs, to finish it, and to get mentally prepared to bring it this week.”
