Former England wing Chris Ashton says that British and Irish Lions will benefit from adopting “stripping Things back” and more simple style of sports.
Lions won 21–10 against New South Wales Conversation on Saturday.
Head coach Andy Paarel has so far integrated the attacker system of complex pre-reihrsal moves which has been very successful with Ireland.
“It was nonsense. If this was his first game, well,” Ashton told the BBC Rugby Union Weekly Podcast after the fourth match of the 2025 Lions.
“Why Lions have not taken away things back? There were many changes and so many games, not just not just simple against Varats.
“Then it gives people a chance to show its ex-factor and bring their personality into the game. Instead of all these complex plays. There is no time for it.”
Paarel, who won the six countries playing in this style with Ireland, included 15 Irishman in his initial touring squad.
Although handling errors keep harassing Lions’ attack – and even Ireland players who know the system of Paarel have fought for jail with their new team -friends of other countries.
Former Wales coach Warren Gatland led the final winner Lions Tour in 2013 and won 1–1 with the series, 10 Wales players started in decisive examination.
Ashton said, “Gatland played it simple and there was a large welesh troop that he coached and trusted.”
“It seems that it will now be easy to apply, as you have a relationship and gameplan that is flowing.
“I wonder what he will do against Bumbiz on Wednesday,” Ashton said about the match 10 days before the first Test.
