New Delhi: Odisha BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan was arrested on Thursday evening in an attack on Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahu, Commission police confirmed.The Pradhan, known as the alleged kingpin in the case, was detained from Jharpada and brought for a medical check-up soon after his arrest. With this, the total number of arrests in the case has increased to six.The case stems from an incident in which Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahu was allegedly attacked. I had a discussion with him after which I am going home.”Refusing direct participation in the attack, Pradhan accepted the severity of the case in a post on X, writing, “The state administrative machinery and law and order situation is moving towards the collapse of the status of the law.The police are continuing their investigation, and further arrests or action have not been denied.
