The horse race for the next open Senate seat in Tennessee is already closing after Sen Marsha Blackburn, R-Tan, on Wednesday announced the bid for the first governorship.
Tenasi Republican Reps. Both Andy Ogal and Tim Burcht told Fox News Digital that they are interested in Blackburn seat.
Ogles said, “Absolutely,” when asked if he would consider a push for the upper room of the Congress. Berket said that any such situation was “long”, but confirmed that he was also watching it.

Blackburn won the election again for its second term in the US Senate in the November 2024 cycle.

Both Ogles and Bircht said that they would be interested in running for the seat in the 2030 election cycle if they are appointed in the upper chamber.
