New Delhi/Jalandhar: The FBI has arrested the most desired fugitive Pavitar Singh Batala from India as part of its operation against average crime in California. Batala, associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), had an interpol red corner notice against him. He was arrested along with seven other people. A cash of weapons and ammunition was also seized from them.In June, Nia nominated Batala’s name, Jatinder Joti and BKI militant Lakhbir Landa in a charge sheet. Joti was reportedly involved in illegal procurement and supply of firearms to gangsters in Punjab. The agency said it was facilitating arms supply to the ground operators of Batala, a close associate of Landa.The accused had allegedly used virtual numbers and encrypted applications, promoting the Khalistan network in the state, the investigation revealed. Officials said the module works on the instructions of ISI-Linked Rinda Sandhu.Sources said Indian agencies are in contact with their American counterparts to extradite Batala.The San Jokin County Sheriff Office stated that its Agnet Unit – FBI, Stockton Police, Munteka Police and Stannis County Sheriff Office with Swat teams – executed five coordinated search warrants across the county.Those arrested include Batala, it is said that the major suspects, Dilpreet Singh, Arshpreet Singh, Amritpal Singh, Vishal, Gurtaj Singh, Manpreet Randhiva and Sarabjit Singh are.
