New Delhi: 7.9 crore voters with 94.7% of Bihar covered as a collection of enumeration form-4.7% not yet found at their address after accounting for voters, including 6,978 ‘uncontrolled’ elements, the Election Commission said on Friday that the Election Commission said that there would be a month’s time after political parties and public involvement.The EC said in a statement, “For this, the printed and digital copies of the draft electoral rolls will be given free of cost to recognized political parties and posted on the ECI website for the public. Therefore, the public can be assured that no eligible election will be left.”The pole panel said on Friday that only 5.2%, or over 41 lakh voters, are yet to be converted into their calculation forms. More than 7.1 crore voters have submitted their forms and more than 6.8 crore forms (86.8%) have been digitized.Of the 36.8 lakh voters (4.7%), not yet found at their address, 12.7 lakh (1.6%) are perhaps deceased; 18.2 lakhs (2.3%) perhaps permanently moved; 5.9 lakh (2.3%) was identified as nominated at many places; And 6,978 (0.01%) “not tracedable”. The list of such voters is now being shared with district presidents and booth level agents of political parties to find out their status. Out of the 1.5 lakh blass appointed by the parties, each day can be deposited up to 50 forms. The EC spokesperson said, “This step is in line with the ECI’s commitment that no eligible election has been left out.”After the disposal of claims and objections, the final electoral rolls to be published on 30 September will be given free to all recognized parties and published on the EC website. The appeal can be filed by those who are still unhappy, first with the District Magistrate and then with the Chief Electoral Officer.
