“I can imagine the history books written after 100 years only after seeing the people of 2025,” O’Rurke said. “This is the way, you know, you and when we were in school, we are looking at people in Germany in 1933. The man’s name is Chancellor in January of that year. In 53 days, he has destroyed German democracy.”
He said, “Parliament or Congress, their legislature, pass these competent laws like Republicans are doing in the Congress today that you want anything, you go out and do it. And he goes away from this buffalo.
O’Rurke has often compared President Donald Trump and his administration to Adolf Hitler and Nazi Party. In 2019, O’Rurke attacked Trump’s family separation policy on the border and accused them of calling all immigrants “infections”.

“Now, I can expect someone to describe another person in the third way as an infection. I will not expect it in the United States,” O’Rurke said.
After defending his comments, he said, “Calling humans an infection is something that we can expect to hear in Nazi Germany … Describing immigrants-while describing immigrants-is a track record of committing violent crimes at a lower rate than original-based Americans-as of jalists and criminals.
In 2021, O’Rurke also warned that the US could become Nazi Germany within 10 years despite losing the Trump 2020 election.
