A hicker in Alaska was rescued with the help of a drone after being mandated by a bear.
Ancorez Police Department spokesman Christopher Baraja said Encourage Daily News,
Baraja said that the woman faced “non-life threatening” injuries.
He said that Hicker told emergency respondents that the bear eventually fled.

The woman called the emergency officers herself and was conscious to help the rescue team find, Baraja said, a drone was used to locate it.
“He is not able to walk, and he was having trouble finding him,” Baraja said. “She called us, she was on the phone with us all the time.”

The Encourage Fire Department, Alaska Department of Public Safety, Alaska Wildlife Trupers as well as nearby joint base ElMendorf-Richardson assisted the woman.
Baraja said that the incident shows how important it is to be ready for the hikers.

“Be ready, bring your bear spray. Stay on the lookout. The bears are everywhere,” he said.
